2012 Montly Apparel Challenge: gennaio

Ed eccoci finalmente: il mio primo capo per Monthly Apparel. Come preannunciato si tratta di un twin set sui generis in jersey color ottanio: infatti anziché essere composto da top e cardigan esso consta di un top a canottiera (utilizzabile anche separatamente) e di una blusa (questo termine lo usava mia nonna, ma non saprei come altro definirla) con ampia scollatura a barchetta che lascia intravedere il top sottostante.

(And here at last: my first clothing for Monthly Apparel. As predicted it is a kind of twin set, in teal-colored jersey: rather than being composed of top and cardigan, it consists in a tank (available separately) and a blouse with a wide boat neckline that reveals the top below.)

Un classico capo invernale insomma, adatto al clima di questi giorni....;).

Va detto che il top è un bieco aggiustamento dopo che mi sono accorta che la scollatura a barchetta era un po' troppo ampia, fortunatamente mi era avanzato un pezzo di tessuto sufficiente per il gemello e così ho risolto....

( It must be said that the top is an adjustment after I realized that the boat neckline was bit too wide, fortunately I had enough fabric to make a twin, and so I resolved....)

Nuove tecniche sperimentate: per i bordini di maniche, scollature e orli ho utilizzato la tecnica trovata qui, l'effetto è davvero professional.

(New techniques: cuff for sleeves, necklines and hems are made using the tecnique found here, the result is very professional)

Ed infine anticipazio' anticipazio': per il Montly Apparel di febbraio ho già in mente cosa cucire: una Henriette di Citronille, come questa ma in rosso!!!

(And finally an anticipation: for Montly Apparel in February I know what I will sew: a Henriette of Citronille like this one but in red!!!)
